Born and living in Scandiano (Reggio Emilia, Italy) Silvia studied economics, managed a wine company, and now designs communication projects as a freelancer. What about photography? She never thought about becoming a photographer until her 40th birthday in 2010, when she received her first digital camera as a present. Since that very moment she has been practicing photography almost everyday, using her creativity and sensitivity to transform everyday moments into tangible, visible, and lasting emotions.

She loves storytelling; everything in her life and in her photography has a story to tell and emotions to share, from the most ordinary day to the biggest sports event, from an illegal immigrant begging on the street to a pop music star on stage. Her photographs has already travelled all over the world thanks to the successful participation in national and international awards and her love for sharing through social media the ordinary, common beauty that surrounds us.

 To travel and document stories which are culturally and emotionally distant, to come back and be able to see the ordinary from a different perspective. This is what I dream of.

Nata e tuttora residente a Scandiano (Reggio Emilia), Silvia ha studiato economia, gestito un’azienda vinicola e ora crea progetti di comunicazione online come freelancer.

E la fotografia? Silvia non ha mai pensato di diventare una fotografa fino al suo quarantesimo compleanno, nel 2010, quando ha ricevuto in regalo la sua prima macchina fotografica digitale. Da quel momento ha scattato fotografie praticamente ogni giorno, utilizzando la sua creatività e sensibilità per trasformare i momenti quotidiani in emozioni visibili, tangibili e durature.

Silvia ama lo storytelling, tutto nella sua vita e nella sua fotografia ha una storia e emozioni da condividere: dalla più noiosa quotidianità al grande evento sportivo, dall’immigrato illegale che chiede l’elemosina alla pop star sul palco. Le sue fotografie hanno già viaggiato in tutto il mondo grazie al riconoscimento ottenuto in concorsi nazionali e internazionali e grazie anche alla sua passione per la condivisione della bellezza ordinaria sui social media.

Viaggiare per documentare storie che sono culturalmente e emotivamente distanti, per poi ritornare ed essere capace di vedere il quotidiano da una prospettiva differente. Questo è il mio sogno
